During my time as an AmeriCorps member at the Lincoln Arts Council I was tasked with creating a ‘public art inventory’. At the time I got involved with the project, it was still early in the planning stages, the project was a folder of images of some of the public art in Lincoln. With the intent to provide a functional and enjoyable resource to the community of Lincoln, I began designing a user-centered wordpress site that would feature Lincoln’s art.
The site is responsive and can ben accessed on all types of devices. Each art pieces is connected to a location that is displayed on a map integrated throughout the site. Users are encouraged to interact with public art and upload their own photos in the ‘Get Involved’ tab.

I am glad I could have the opportunity to use my skills to give back to the community and provide a resource. The Journal Star also thought it was a great site and featured “Website features public artwork across the city” on the front page!
